Brandy Plums with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Three words: worth the canning.
The key to taste here was that the plums (canned two weeks ago at Gilead Cafe) were canned with vanilla bean simple syrup and a generous pour of brandy. Spoon plums over top notch vanilla ice cream (I used Mapleton’s Organic) and be amazed.
Make this when… you want a scaleable treat (a bite or a bowl). as a non-fussy dinner party outro. if you have canned plums on hand (make them, buy them, get your hands on some!).
